Bill Albury

Lil Bill has been one of the faces of the Bahamas bar scene for longer than most ever get the privilege of being in the industry. Most famously known for his time owning Club Waterloo during its heyday, Bill has been keeping people entertained and their cup full for decades. 
Since moving to Abaco, he has owned three renditions of Snappas, each bigger and better than the last. During this time, the name Snappas has quickly become synonymous with a reliably good time in Marsh Harbour.  
Hemingway’s serves as his poignant, final stamp on the Bahamas hospitality industry. There are touches of his brilliance and creativity layered throughout the entire bar, ready for you to enjoy.

Miller Albury

Low-lit, intimate, and memorably unique bars and cocktail lounges have become an intense passion for Miller. He has found that no two minds envision an elevated mixology experience quite the same. So over the last 8 years, he has found a true love for traveling to try and find new hidden gems to see all the innovation in the world of cocktails. 
From a young age, Miller was found to be stocking the bar and later mixing drinks; there was rarely a day growing up when he didn’t end up at his family’s bar, Snappas. 
Hemingway’s is the culmination of both a love for the bar industry and a fiery desire to push Abaco into the era of “more” when it comes to cocktails, food, and guest experience.

Debbie

Debbie has an innate passion for excellence and refuses to settle for just good enough. Through her culinary training and over 10 years in different kitchens, she has developed the flair and mastery of her craft needed for a continually evolving gastronomy experience such as Hemingway’s Hideaway. The recipes are all Debbie’s original creations and she can’t wait for you to try them 

Lead Mixologist

Dray

Dray has expressed a strong commitment to hospitality as a means of creating meaningful and memorable experiences for others. He emphasizes attentiveness, positive energy, and genuine interaction as key elements of effective service. With experience across the Bahamas, Dray developed an early appreciation for the importance of service, guest interaction, and creating positive experiences for visitors

Known for his outgoing and approachable personality, he carries these traits over into both his personal and professional life. 

Mixologist

Talia

Talia grew up around the bar scene and has seen the ins and outs of bars at their busiest and absolute best. With experience in almost every facet of a restaurant, she is one of the more well-rounded service industry professionals that you will ever find. She takes pride in creating first sips that are instant memories. 
While honing her craft over her 8 years of bar and restaurant experience, Talia has found that she is only satisfied with perfection. Anything short of it simply won’t do, and that is exactly why Hemingway’s Hideaway thrills her. 
She looks forward to ensuring perfection for every guest, every time.

Mixologist/Server

Nisha

Nisha has spent the last eleven years working in the hospitality industry.  A true jack of all trades, she specializes in both bartending and waitressing, bringing experience, versatility, and genuine enthusiasm to every guest interaction.
What Nisha loves most about her work is the opportunity to build lasting connections with people from all over the world. Nothing makes her happier than having a guest return years later, remember her name, and pick up right where they left off. 
Known for balancing attention to detail with a laid-back island spirit, she takes pride in making sure every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and eager to return. Whether she's behind the bar crafting the perfect cocktail or serving guests in the dining room, her goal is always the same: to make every visit one worth remembering.

Fiona's desire for perfection can be seen in her service, her baking our signature desserts, and her daily life. Her time in the service industry has allowed her to gain expertise to reach a level far beyond her years.

Her level-headed approach to service presents as the perfect balance of being informative, operating with speed, and prioritizing getting to know her customers. She also showcases her immense talent and creativity through our featured tarts on the menu.
